How a person would act if they had super powers Essay Example for Free

How a person would act if they had super powers Essay Some people my age dream of having superpowers. Some people read comic books, watch movies, watch television, and wish they could have super powers like flying or becoming invisible. I on the other hand am gifted with both of these powers and use them every day Invisibility and the ability to fly arent just useful in everyday life they are just plain fun. I recieved my powers out of nowhere. One day I was sitting on the couch watching Television, and I fell asleep. I had a weird dream that I had the aability to fly and could become invisible. Well strangely enough when I woke up I was floating in mid air! It took some struggling to get back on my feet because I did not exactly know how to, but when I finally did I went to the bathroom to look in the mirror and see if I could become invisible. In my dream if I concentrated hard enough I could become invisible, well sure enough I became invisible. This was a long time ago and I have just about got both of my powers under my control now. Being able to fly is, needless to say, is very useful. Such as after school when everybody is waiting in the thirty minute line to go home I just fly off home laughing at everyone wasting their gas. It definitely saves me money on gas, and I know I will not wreck because their is no one else who can fly. Also since I am gifted with powers I enjoy helping people out when they are in trouble. It is also a whole lot of fun doing tricks in the sky. Being invisible has a lot of advantages. It first of all helps me out when I am flying so nobody can see me. Also instead of wearing a dumb outfit so nobody knows who I am when I am helping people. The best part of being invisible though would probably not be helping people it would be messing with people and pulling pranks on them because they have no clue who it is. It also helps if you do not like to study so you can sneek into the teachers classroom and get the answers to the quiz or test. Super powers are alot of fun, but also a big responsibility. They help out in life and make everyday things like traveling fun and exciting. Its also really rewarding to help people out when they are in trouble. I do not know how I got my powers, I do not know how long I will have them. I do know one thing though I will be enjoying them.

Essay --

Leedy and Ormrod (2001) have studied the inventory policies and the inventory techniques that a company manages to incorporate in its armory to a great extent. They have said that the inventory policies or techniques that are commonly used are ABC analysis, XYZ analysis, VED analysis, Analysis of stock levels etc. The main importance of the inventory tools like inventory categorization tools that the company follows mainly is seen at a cost level. The cost component is given the major importance whereas the other benefits that arise out of it are not realized, even though it is achieved. Thus the advantages regarding the cost aspect is beautifully explained in this study, but as mentioned in the study, the other factors that are benefited from inventory management are not touched down to very fine detail. But from this study, the fact that can be ascertained is that there is a connect between the inventory policies and the improvement of customer service, but it is more or less not r elated to. Trent and Handfield (2002) have given a very detailed study of the customer perceptions towards a firm, customer service levels, service quality aspect and the determinants that arise in a company which leads to good customer service. The basic thing what the authors want to say in this study is that the customers would always like to see the company that is serving them to be rid of inefficiencies. Also the consumption of the product, if achieved by the customer on time or by the time the customer is expecting it to be consumed is a major factor in the customer perception towards the company, and there is no doubt that such factors can only have a positive impact on the perception of the customer. Pycraft (2000) has stated about the hap... ...n managing the affairs of the departments which may not be directly interacting with the customers, but whose services would surely impact the service quality. †¢ It should be clearly understood that factors like presentability and aestheticity, discounts etc are not the only factors which would impress customers. Good service comes from following basics and this can be achieved by having a good inventory policy. 6.3 CONCLUSION We can conclude by saying that if we want to have a good image on the minds of the customers, then we have to be efficient in our services and our co ordination has to be impeccable. All this can be achieved through following of a good inventory techniques. Thus we should not neglect the inventory aspects of the company and focus on other things which may look good, but won’t help in improving efficiencies and delighting the customers.

Revenge Cycle

Revenge has the definition of taking vengeance for injuries or wrongs; retaliation. In the Hamlet, the main theme is that when people follow plans of revenge, it leads to tragedy. Throughout the play, several different people want to take revenge on somebody. Hamlet is a main character who is being asked to take revenge on his uncle to fulfill his duty as a son. Hamlet by William Shakespeare is a revenge tragedy because Laertes and Fortinbras and Hamlet seek to avenge a family death, in most cases the death of their father and in all but one case leads to their own tragic death. Hamlet’s revenge for his father leads to his own death at the end. Hamlet’s father, the old king Hamlet appeared in the form of the ghost in the beginning of the play. The ghost told Hamlet that his father had been killed by the current king who is the uncle of Hamlet, the current husband of Hamlet’s mother. Believe it or not every ghost in the world can only have the same action, revenge. â€Å"You can never know with certainty which ghost is addressing whom. It is one and the same thing for Hamlet to question his own identity and to question the ghost’s identity, and his authority† (Girard 3). The prince of Denmark, Hamlet, wants to avenge the current King of Denmark, his uncle, who killed Hamlet’s father, the old King, in order to take the crown and marry Hamlet’s mother. When trying to revenge his father by killing his Uncle, Hamlet accidentally kills Polonius, the father of Hamlet’s friend Laertes and his beloved Ophelia. In the process of revenging his father, Hamlet in some way caused the death of many innocent people. Hamlet, again, is less remorseful about killing Polonius than annoyed with Polonius for not being Claudius, and seems genuinely bewildered that Laertes should be hostile to him†(Frye 3). With the tragic loss of her father, as well as her recent messiness of her relationship with Hamlet, Ophelia becomes insane and committed suicide by drowning herself. Now, Laertes wants revenge for his father and sister during a fencing game by poisoning the tip of the sword. If that does not work, King Claudius will have a glass of wine with poison in it that Hamlet would drink from. Laertes goes mad in a different fashion and becomes the model of the kind of revenger that Hamlet so disdains† (Rose 5). Laertes kills Hamlet successfully but Hamlet’s mother dies accidentally by drinking the poisoned wine. â€Å"The drink, the drink. Oh, I’m poisoned† (5. 2 45-52). And Hamlet finally fulfills the ghost’s quest and killed Claudius, the murderer of his father. Hamlet himself dies at the end. There is still a son seeking revenge for his father that we might forget. The young Fortinbras of Norway is secretly planning to invade Denmark. The tragedy that the old king caused was when he killed Old Norway in during the war. Denmark and Norway has been in war when old Hamlet is still alive, the old king killed old Fortinbras and took over some of Norway’s land. â€Å"The old Hamlet, the murderer himself, in the various sources of the play there may be indications to that essect, but Shakespeare would have omitted them if he had wanted to strengthen the case for revenge†. (Girard 3) Young Fortinbras is seeking revenge for his father’s death and the loss of his country. By the time the army of Norway arrives Denmark, everyone in the palace dies except Horatio. Young Fortinbras becomes the king of Denmark and fulfills his duty to avenge his father’s death as well. Although all the revengers took their action of seeking vengeance for their father, the only difference is that both Laertes and Young Fortinbras is that Hamlet didn’t take revenge when he had chance. Instead, he waited and waited and losing his better chances to kill Claudius. Hamlet is a revenge tragedy, but let’s rather calls it a revenge cycle. Polonius, murdered by Hamlet by accident and avenged by his son. Hamlet’s father, murdered by King Claudius and avenged by his son as well. This comes again in the story of the old Fortinbras and the young Frotinbras of Norway, the father slain by Hamlet’s father during the war. The son achieved a successful revenge by taking the throne of Denmark. Hamlet by William Shakespeare is a revenge tragedy because most of the characters in the play try to seek revenge on someone and leads to all the deaths except one case.

Block Right Click Access to Context Menus on Web Pages

Web novices often believe that by blocking their visitors use of the mouse right-click context menu that they can prevent the theft of their web page content. Nothing could be further from the truth. Disabling right clicks is easily sidestepped by more savvy users, and the ability to access much of a web pages code itself is a basic feature of web browsers that doesnt require a right click at all. Drawbacks There are many ways to bypass the no right click script, and in reality the only effect that such a script has is to annoy those of your visitors who legitimately use the the right-click context menu (as that menu is properly called) in their web navigation. Additionally, all of the scripts that I have seen to do this only block access to the context menu from the right mouse button. They dont consider the fact that the menu is also accessible from the keyboard. All anyone needs to do to access the menu using a 104 key keyboard is to select the object on the screen for which they want to access the context menu (for example by left clicking on it) and then press the context menu key on their keyboard—its the one immediately to the left of the right CTRL key on PC keyboards. On a 101 key keyboard, you can execute a right-click command by holding down the shift key and pressing F10. JavaScript If you would like to disable right-clicks on your web page anyway, heres a really simple JavaScript that you can use to block all access to the context menu (not just from the right mouse button but from the keyboard as well)—and really annoy your visitors. This script is even simpler than most of the ones that only block the mouse button, and it works in about as many browsers as those scripts do. Heres the entire script for you: body oncontextmenureturn false; Adding just that small piece of code to the body tag of your web page is more effective at blocking your visitors access to the context menu than the many no-right-click scripts that you can find elsewhere on the web because it blocks access from both the mouse button and from keyboard options described above. Limitations Of course, the script doesnt work in all web browsers (e.g., Opera ignores it—but then Opera ignores all of the other no-right-click scripts as well). This script also does nothing to prevent your visitors from accessing the page source using the View Source option from their browser menu, or from saving the web page and viewing the source of the saved copy in their favorite editor. And finally, though you may disable access to the context menu, that access can be easily re-enabled by users simply by typingjavascript:void oncontextmenu(null) into the address bar of the browser.
